This is my first Gap item ever, got it from the Gap Outlet store in Lakeside. Originally it was over £30, on the tag it said £20 but it had an extra 30% off so it was just £14. So yeah, go have a look in the outlet stores ;)

All Used Up #7

nivea powder touch, naturally radiant night cream, simple eye makeup remover

The latest round of finished products:

Primark Beauty Fragrance Free Eye Make-up Remover Pads: They are extra thick with texture on both sides, so they are a bit rough for the eye area. It does remove eye makeup but always leaves bits of fluff all over the eye area which I found very annoying. The pack contains 15, but sells as 2 packs for £1, so they're a good price but not a great product.

Nivea Powder Touch Anti-Perspirant: Claims to effectively provide 48 hour anti-perspirant protection, while being quick drying and leaving a soft skin feeling, as well as promising no residues on skin or clothes. It has a nice powdery scent, however doesn't protect for 48 hours (more like 24 on average) and it does leave a residue on the skin with continued use. For those 2 reasons I wouldn't buy it again.

Clearasil Daily Clear Vitamins & Extracts Wash and Mask: Contains avocado and pomegranate extracts, which are meant to provide vitamin E and antioxidants, as well as cleanse effectively the skin to help keep it clear. This cleanser doesn't lather up much, which I'm not bothered about, and it's quite creamy, so it won't leave your skin feeling dry after use. I used it more as a cleanser than a mask, so can't comment much about the latter, but it's a nice cleanser that I would repurchase in the future.

Imperial Leather Butterfly Lily & Amber Bath Cream: It smells nice and fruity like passionfruit and leaves skin soft and smooth after using. I normally used about 1/2 cap full of product and it produced some bubbles/foam but not that many. The packaging is hard to open/close with wet hands and I actually cut my finger on it... twice. It's affordable and I would like to try different versions of it.

Naturally Radiant Renewing Night Cream: I've talked about this range here. It's a rich and moisturising face cream with fruit acids, leaves skin feeling really smooth and soft when you wake up in the morning. It's generally on offer in Superdrug, and would definitely buy again.

Simple Kind to Eyes Eye Make-up Remover: It's quite gentle and doesn't irritate skin or eyes, and doesn't leave a residue either. But in terms of makeup removing power, it's not the best - it claims to remove waterproof mascara but struggles to remove non-waterproof eye liner. It's quite affordable but it's not the product for me.

Have you tried any of these products?

Last weekend we went to Romford and I got a lovely trench coat from Gap for just £28 (down from £60). Lately I've been so much more into classic and basic pieces that can be mixed and matched easily. It's so interesting to see how my style has evolved from when I got back into blogging again last year!

St Ives Renew & Firm Scrub
L'oreal Infallible eyeshadow
Boldmere detail brush set
Avon tinted moisturiser

I didn't get too many things last month as you can see haha. I needed a new face scrub for in-between microdermabrasion sessions and the St Ives ones were on offer so I got the renew & firm as it contains glycolic acid. From Primark I got a giant towel which is ideal so I don't freeze to death after coming out of the shower, and form Poundland a couple of L'oreal Infallible eyeshadows.
From The Works, some detail paint brushes and from Avon a tinted moisturiser and room spray.

Been watching Game of Thrones over the last few weeks, we are about to start with series 4 today and were quite shocked with the last 2 episodes of season 3 (!). I've also been watching Gossip Girl online as I never really finished watching it in full, even though I know how it ends like haha. When I finish GG I'll probably go onto Six Feet Under or House MD (never finished those either).

The Horrors at the Troxy

A couple of weekends ago we went to see The Horrors at the Troxy (a medium sized Art Deco venue around Limehouse) as part of their UK tour.
They sound great live, though they don't play any songs from their first album and the lights used on their show look amazing but didn't allow to watch them comfortably.

Adidas Stan Smith Navy

Adidas Stan Smith Navy

Welcome the new wardrobe member, a pair of Adidas Stan Smith tennis shoes - a gift from my hubby and my first pair of trainers in 10 years. I really liked the 4 pairs I wrote about in this post, but ultimately went for the Stan Smith model with the navy blue details.

What I like about these shoes is that apart from being extremely comfortable, they are quite minimal with clean lines and the crisp white leather is easier to care for than suede, as well as providing a nice contrast against the dark colours in my wardrobe. And the neutral navy details blend in more nicely than green.

Find the Adidas Stan Smith shoes in Schuh.

No more concerts for now (until next month) so I will finally get my beauty sleep, just the way I like it haha. I love going to live shows but staying up late for a night leaves me tired for the whole week ;(
Maybe I'm just getting old, though I'll never forget the time they asked me to wait outside the bookies because I had no ID with me. I left laughing/saying "I'm 27 haha!".

Get The Look: Trainers

Adidas Gazelle, Stan Smith, Vans Leather Slip On, New Balance 420

For the past few months I've been seeing many pictures of outfits styled with trainers, and though I'm not a sportswear type of person, I fell in love with the monochrome/masculine/formal clothes + trainers kind of look. So much so I might even get my first pair of trainers in over 10 years!

These are the shoes that I've liked the most from what I've seen. From top: Adidas Gazelle, Adidas Stan Smith, Vans Leather Slip-On, New Balance 420

A Chocolate Chip Cookie Perfume?

Chocolate Chip Cookie Perfume by The Library of Fragrance

Recently I got contacted to select and review a perfume from The Library of Fragrance. Demeter Fragrance Library is a New York based perfumery that launched this month in the UK as The Library of Fragrance, consisting of a collection of 101 different options on their website and a capsule collection of 28 available in Boots. Their fragrances are meant to capture real and familiar scents that surround us every day such as Cherry Blossom, Gingerbread, Pure Soap and Vanilla Ice Cream.

It was hard to choose just one scent to try out of the 101 options, but I went for Chocolate Chip Cookie*, only beating Cherry Blossom and Apple Pie. Chocolate Chip Cookie smells exactly like that, upon first spritz it evokes the sight of freshly baked, still warm and straight out of the oven cookies. With hints of dark chocolate, sugar, creamy butter and vanilla, Chocolate Chip Cookie smells amazing and might leave you craving the delicious, warm cookies it just made you think are being baked in the kitchen.

With The Library of Fragrance you can also create your own bespoke scent by mixing and matching different ones, and they're currently on offer in Boots with 2 x £25.

Take your pick on The Library of Fragrance and Boots websites.

The Libertines at Alexandra Palace

Last weekend the Libertines played at Alexandra Palace on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I only knew about them after they had separated and even though they sometimes would get together and played at festivals, we hadn't had the chance to see them, until Saturday.

We've seen Peter Doherty 3 times, as well as Babyshambles once and now The Libertines, which was really amazing. Playing all their classic songs with Carl and Pete sharing a mic was a sight I didn't think I would get to see, all while getting squashed and suffocated in the crowd haha.

They will be touring around Europe and hinted at playing new songs when they come back in the UK.
